Adrian Miller is the manager
of one of the hottest artists in music right now, Anderson .Paak.
.Paak first came to the attention of the general public with his half-dozen appearances on Dr. Dre's 2015 album, “Compton: A Soundtrack By Dr. Dre.” He was quickly signed by Dre’s Aftermath Records and released his hit album “Malibu” this past January.
But before deals with Dre, Miller had a long history in the Hip Hop world. He got his start on the radio, spinning rap records in 1990 on Oklahoma station KBLK when he was going to college at Tulsa University. Once back in his native Los Angeles, Miller played a key role in discovering acts like Coolio, Funkdoobiest, The Pharcyde and many more. He worked for Immortal Records and then transitioned to a job at Warner Brothers, working directly under legendary A&R man (and manager-to-the-stars) Bennie Medina.
After some time off from the music biz roller coaster, Miller discovered a young .Paak (then performing under the name Breezy Lovejoy), and did everything he could to break the young artist, up to and including putting his own biggest assets at risk.

Kanye West-The Life of Pablo/Yeezy Season 3 Live Stream Review

Watching the live stream at a movie theater was interesting. When you walked into the theater, on the screen you saw people walking around and finding their seats at Madison Square Garden. The majority of Yeezy fans were wearing Yeezus Tour t-shirts or his shoe line, either Red October’s or his latest Yeezy Boost 350. In the middle of the court, you see the stage being covered with a huge grey sheet. As the seats inside the theater fill up, the album listening party/fashion trend ‘show’ begins.
Let me start off with T.L.O.P. I enjoyed what I was hearing. The album is like a sequel to Yeezus, meaning it’s more of a lighter album and not as dark. There were two songs I personally liked — “Ultra Light Beam” and “Fade.” With ULB, I liked what I was hearing. Done in gospel-like style and featuring Chance the Rapper, The-Dream and Kelly Price, this sets the bar to finding faith and asking for peace with a simple kick, powerful choirs and church organ. “Fade” is a house-like track with Ty Dolla $ign and Post Malone contributing vocals. I feel that song is a single. Sadly, the song was cut short because Young Thug wanted to play one of his latest singles, whose name I don’t know, to the audience at MSG. After that, Vic Mensa comes around asking to play one of his new singles, and he was the only person feeling the song.
In two songs Kanye took shots at Taylor Swift and Ray J. Starting off with “Highlight” featuring Young Thug, Ye takes a shot at Ray J: “I bet me and Ray J would be friends/If we ain’t love the same bitch/Yeah, he may had hit it first/only problem is I’m rich.” Everyone inside the theater was laughing hysterically. “Famous” has stirred a lot of talk because of a line in which he took a shot at Swift: “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/I made that bitch famous.” Still a good track, with Rihanna and Swizz with the adlib with a sample of Sister Nancy’s “Bam Bam” single. This shows Kanye is not afraid to shake up controversies.
“I Love Kanye” is the funniest track on the album. The title is self-explanatory. A 45 second a cappella interlude where Kanye is just . . . well, Kanye-ing himself. He is not ashamed to show his ego to the public and he stays true in the end showing Ye meme, “I love you like Kanye loves Kanye.”
As for his fashion show, it was VERY boring. I almost fell asleep inside the theater, but was kept awake by the music. All the models were standing in one spot looking depressed and bored while others held a straight face throughout the event. As minutes passed, a few models decided to sit on the stage to rest their legs. Honestly, I was expecting maybe a runway where models can walk and women can strut to the public. I was wrong. Was I digging the clothes? No. Footwear? Only the Yeezy Boost 350.
I thought the live stream experience was good. It was something different that nobody has thought of doing and I’m sure we’ll see more live streams at movie theaters soon. Overall, I really enjoyed what I’ve heard from the album. Again, it felt like a sequel to Yeezus and is very much a gospel-like album. Kanye never fails me and every album he drops will always be different. T.L.O.P. is an album worth buying or stream to listen, depending on your interest.
I give the album an 8 outta 10.

Suspens Jr is one of the hardest working kids these days! Usually his days consist of attending 7th grade at a performing arts school, basketball practice, writing 1-2 raps & practicing beat-making! This week (Mon & Tues since school is out honoring President's Day) he'll be on-set to shoot scenes in his 1st movie appearance as a featured-extra in "Life in the Deep" (a Miami-based movie). He will also be signing a contract with the production company that films Jermaine Dupri's "The Rap Game" (Lifetime Network), a show in which he’s been recently chosen to be in! Like Father like Son, right!!!

KCMU RAP ATTACK #FBF 1988: I found this on You Tube — a rare recording of two of my very first RAP ATTACK radio shows aired in 1988. The first link is about 37 min long & you can hear my MasterMix around 10min 30 sec into it. Both aired on 90.3FM KCMU, 28 years ago.
I was fired from KFOX in April of 1988 as the station was sold & they made it clear to me that the new KFOX would NOT play RAP/Hip Hop anymore.
KCMU, based on the UW campus, offered me a Sunday night slot around July of 1988 to keep KFOX FRESHTRACKS on the air. I accepted the offer, went from AM to FM in 3 months & renamed my show KCMU RAP ATTACK.
I wanted this show to sound just as good as if you're listening to a Casey Kasem American Top 40 show or any professional sounding show you'd hear on commercial radio. I didn't want to just yell on a mic & say my name in a mix or during the show so I invested $$$ in getting Professional Custom Voice Over Drops. I also made my own Drops & the rest is Seattle Hip Hop HISTORY!
