Back in the 80's Glen Ford hosted the first syndicated Rap show based out of New York called "RAP IT UP."
He's also the founder of the
Black Agenda Report, much respected within the industry.
Glen just passed away from lung cancer at the age of 71.
We were very close friends. He always supported and played my records with SirMixALot on his syndicated shows. We honored him with a
SWASS GOLD PLAQUE at our Gold party held in Seattle.
Rest In Peace, Glen.

The ORIGINAL Street Fighter, Sonny Chiba has passed away from complications of COVID-19.
After
Bruce Lee passed in 1973, I remember the big buzz that Sonny Chiba was going to be the NEXT!
His films “Street Fighter 1,2 & 3” & his role in “Kill Bill” will last
Forever. (R.I.P.)

We go back 30 plus years, Vato-V. You put Yakima, WA on the Hip Hop map and your legacy will live on forever.
A few years ago I was blessed to promote your last single "Holla Holla!" to the world. I'll cherish all our talks about dj'ing, music, family and kidney issues.
We last spoke in February 2021.  You sounded so happy & I was so happy for you.
Rest well my brother. Nasty-Nes

Ever met a person so optimistic in life despite weekly dialysis appointments, hospital visits due to diabetes, always with a smile on their face & always keeps in touch with positive remarks?
This is that person —
George Abraham. I got the bad news he passed away & I'm going to miss him. He was the heart of Santa Cruz, CA & you’d catch him at a lot of the local Hip Hop events.
I Love You brother.

BJ Thomas’ single, "Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head" from the movie BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDANCE KID was the NUMBER ONE song in 1970. That was the year I moved to the United States. I knew all the lyrics & still do. Sooooooo many sentimental memories. (R.I.P.)
